Schools Alumni Week 2025

30 June - 6 July 2025

Because every state-educated child deserves access to a network of relatable role models.

We all come from different places, have different experiences, and are surrounded by different people. Having grown up in the same area and perhaps having had some of the same teachers, the former students of a school, also known as alumni, are ideal role models to the current students of that school as they are instantly relatable. They can offer advice to students from their context and first-hand experiences.

Relatable role models have a crucial role to play in showing young people first-hand what they can become and what ‘someone like me’ can achieve. They challenge stereotypes, raise aspirations, and help to unlock potential.

Relatable role models come from all walks of life - and anyone can be one. We work with volunteers from all over the country who can attend workshops at their old school or a school in their local community, sign up as a mentor, or share their stories via our volunteering platform, the Future First Hub.

Schools Alumni Week is an opportunity for schools to celebrate the achievements of their former students and to welcome them back to meet and inspire the next generation.
