South Camden students learn valuable skills at Employability Day with Rothschild

February, 2012. London.

On Friday 3rd February, Future First took 16 Year 12 students from South Camden Community School to Rothschild’s London HQ for an employability day. The students took part in a variety of sessions over the course of the day including a ‘Careers in the City’ session where they heard about the array of different careers in a firm like Rothschild. Employees in a range of roles participated, from researchers to the gym’s fitness instructor.

Students also took part in CV and mock interview clinics, and a speed networking session which was a favourite with the students. One student commented that the best thing about networking with the Rothschild volunteers was “realising that us and the Rothschild people actually have a lot in common.”

Future First and Rothschild will be running two more employability days for students from South Camden Community School this academic year. We’d like to thank Rothschild for hosting the event and all the volunteers for coming along to support the students at the sessions. Volunteer turnout was excellent and many students commented on how much they had enjoyed meeting the staff. We’re really looking forward to the next event!
